Spring Crafts
Easter/ Spring Equinox

Birds nest using dried grass or cleavers.

Clay eggs rolled in flour.

Clay eggs dried and painted and hung around the garden as a finding game.

Painting with dandelions, using them as a paintbrush with natural paint on to paper or fabric.

Bugs

Bug Hunt using magnifying glasses.

Caterpillar and butterfly (masking tape stuck on to a stick backward then add small leaves/petals first to make a caterpillar, have them munch around the garden then add big leaves to turn into a butterfly.)

Worms made from soil/ clay.

Worm holes/houses for them to live in.
Games

Sleeping fawn game (faun freezes and wolf come to find and makes them move/laugh, tenth fawn becomes a wolf)

Bird nest game (baby birds make a nest then they fly around having fun when they hear mama shout food they have to run back to the nest. )

Swallow and Midge game (Like stuck in the mud but swallows after the midges.)

Watching out for the bird’s swallows/cuckoos returning.
Foraging

Make spring nettle tea or soup.

Nettle/ spinach/ cleaver/ wild garlic pesto.
